RFP posted

UPDATE: The contracts are being re-bid for the following projects with revised specifications including the Prevailing Wage requirements adopted by the Township Board in 2020.

Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) Contract

Meridian Township is requesting quotes for the procurement and installation of two Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) LED Crosswalk Warning Systems. The RRFB systems are to be installed in two separate locations: one on Central Park Drive and one at the intersection of Haslett and Van Atta Roads, in Meridian Township. Central Park Drive is home to a recently constructed Farmer’s Market, off-road trail, and dog park that will generate significant pedestrian traffic. The intersection at Haslett & Van Atta Roads is a relatively blind corner, posing a danger for both pedestrians and motorists. In both cases, the RRFB systems are intended to create a safe crossing for all non-motorized users.

Quotes must be returned by Friday, January 29, 2021 by 5:00 pm.
Construction must be complete by Friday, April 16, 2021.

Meridian Township Standby Generator Contract

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, the bid opening will be accomplished remotely. The work involves the following major construction items:

• Installation of two (2) new Standby Generators; and
• Installation of two (2) concrete Generator foundations; and
• Installation of two (2) new Automatic Transfer Switches.

Proposals must be returned by Thursday, January 29, 2021 by 11:00 am.
