Join us at Davis Foster Preserve (5120 Van Atta Rd., Okemos) to pull invasive flowers from an area we have been stewarding in the prairie! We will be pulling Japanese Hedge Parsley and scouting for Purple Loosestrife. We want to create more room for native plants to flourish and keep invasive plants out of our preserves. No experience is necessary, and all tools, gloves, and sanitizing supplies are provided.  Volunteers may have to walk over uneven terrain and possibly over downed logs. Join us in the park to connect, learn, and conserve!  

Weekday Warriors occur every other week from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at a different location. Help the Meridian Conservation Corps restore habitat across our parks and preserves through activities like invasive plant removal and sowing native seeds. Stewardship workdays are a great way to get outdoors and improve our community!

Participants are encouraged to pre-register but walk-ins are welcome.
