Join us at Red Cedar Natural Area (1455 Oscoda Rd.) to remove invasive garlic mustard and dame's rocket from the park. We will also look at the spring ephemerals in the area and other amazing native plants! No experience is necessary, and all tools, gloves, and supplies are provided. Volunteers may have to walk over uneven terrain and possibly over downed logs. Join us in the park to connect, learn, and conserve!
Weekday Warriors occurs every other week from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at a different location. Help the Meridian Conservation Corps restore habitat across our parks and preserves through activities like invasive plant removal and sowing native seeds. Stewardship workdays are a great way to get outdoors and improve our community!
Participants are encouraged to pre-register but walk-ins are welcome. To register, or for more information, please contact Land Stewardship Coordinator Emma Campbell at ecampbell@meridian.mi.us or call at 517.853.4614. All workdays are outdoors and may be canceled due to inclement weather. If you would like to join the Meridian Conservation Corps to receive email updates on future stewardship events and get MCC swag, visit the Meridian Conservation Corps webpage to sign up.
