Public Meeting - Mount Hope Road Construction Project

The Ingham County Road Department will hold a public information meeting to discuss the upcoming Mount Hope Road construction project, which will convert Mount Hope Road from four lanes to three lanes. This meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 6, from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the Capital Area District Libraries (CADL) - Okemos Branch (4321 Okemos Road, Okemos).

Work for this project will include cold milling, resurfacing, and pavement marking, along with a modernization of the traffic signal at Mount Hope Road and Comanche Drive. The contractor is expected to begin work in late May, and the road is expected to be reopened to traffic by August 19. Final work and touch ups will be completed by September 30.

Traffic will be maintained throughout the project with designated phasing and lane shifts.

Throughout the project, updates will be posted to the “Road Construction” page of the Ingham County Road Department website at roads.ingham.org.
