The Friends of Historic Meridian will host a speaker series at the Village Chapel (5151 Marsh Road, Okemos) on Wednesday, April 23, at 7:00 pm. 

Dr. Nakia Parker, an assistant professor of history at Michigan State University, will present on the "Hidden in Plain Sight: The Contributions of African American Women to U.S. History."
