Visit the Meridian Mall on Saturday, March 15, to explore ideas to make your home, workplace, school, and community cleaner and greener!
Volunteers, students, and organizations will be providing information and activities to help reduce, recycle, reduce pollution, and “green” the community.
Come explore, support, and learn how you can contribute to make our community "greener." There will be fun, engaging activities and displays throughout this event!
These include:
- Meridian Conservation Corps: Trails, land preservation, stewardship, & more
- Tri-County Enviroscape: Hands-on Watershed Pollution Demonstration.
- Meridian Township: Recycling information, energy events, trail maps, composting, and more.
- Okemos High School Earth Club: Spring Recycling Tips.
- Haslett High School Sustainability Club: Activities and information for youth and adults.
- tinkrLAB (age 4 and up): Make something new from something old!
- Absolute Solar: Solar energy systems for renewable energy
The Green Ideas vendors will be located near the Farmers' Market in the JCPenney Wing of the Meridian Mall.
This event is part of a monthly series of “Green Events” coordinated by the Meridian Green Team with support from Granger Waste Services, Consumers Energy, My Green Michigan, Absolute Solar, Hammond Farms, Okemos Schools, and the Clerical Technical Union of MSU.
