EVENT CANCELLATION
Due to the extremely cold temps & deep snow, we will be cancelling our Trailside Ecology event scheduled for today, February 18th. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Meet us at the end of Ponderosa Drive in Okemos to learn about wetland hydrology and how we can support these important ecosystems through the changing season. We will explore some vernal pools and document invasive species for future management! Please dress appropriately for the weather and expect to walk over uneven terrain. Join us to connect, learn, and conserve!
Stewardship Saturdays occur every other Saturday from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at a different location. Help the Meridian Conservation Corps restore habitat across our parks and preserves through activities like invasive plant removal and sowing native seeds. Stewardship workdays are a great way to get outdoors and improve our community!
Participants are encouraged to pre-register but walk-ins are welcome. To register, or for more information, please contact Land Stewardship Coordinator Emma Campbell at ecampbell@meridian.mi.us or call at 517.853.4614. All workdays are outdoors and may be canceled due to inclement weather. If you would like to join the Meridian Conservation Corps to receive email updates on future stewardship events and get MCC swag, visit the Meridian Conservation Corps webpage to sign up.
