The Friends of Historic Meridian will host a speaker series at the Village Chapel (5151 Marsh Road, Okemos) on Wednesday, January 29, at 2:00 pm. This event was originally scheduled for January 22, but was postponed due to inclement weather.
Guest speaker Bill Krieger will present on the importance of preserving the history of our nation's heroes in their words and voices. This presentation will discuss the benefits of this historical preservation both to society and to the veteran.
Bill Krieger is the President of VeteransArchives.org, an organization dedicated to preserving and honoring the stories of military veterans. He is the former Assistant Program Director for the VFW National Home and recently retired as the Veterans Program Manager at Consumers Energy. Bill also hosted the popular Me You Us podcast, which highlighted veterans’ stories and the power of community. With a deep commitment to supporting veterans, he gives back through initiatives like VeteransArchives.org and his work with the community.
